Prints and Patterns, Patterns and Prints!
Honestly, it doesnt really matter. Here I’m just showing you common prints and patterns I’ve observed while looking at so many shows, so much lol
In terms of patterns and prints, plaid is whats up for Fall. Here Alexander McQueen mixed two different plaid prints – but to be honest I’m not brave enough to wear mismatching prints (two different patterns yes, but they have to be within the same color pallet) but maybe you can pull it off? Dont be afraid to comment below with pictures of you doing this because I’d love to see it!
Aside from particular “prints and patterns”, many designers opted for color blocking. We have seen a lot of this over the past 3-4 years and it continues to be a very fashionable trend. However, if the piece youre wearing doesnt come already color blocked, be careful about doing it yourself because it could easily look messy and disorganized if you dont color block correctly. Fall is mainly centered around earthy neutral deep or creme colors, however we have seen a lot of bright bold colors being used all over the runway. This look by Betsy Johnson (from her 2014 RTW collection, click here to check it out!) is the epitome of color!
Lacey flowery print has also been used A LOT. This look by Alexis Mabille (one of my favorite designers!) has a great example with these pants. Dont you love it?!
And floral in lace isnt the only way its been popular – regular floral print has been very common since spring/summer. This Beautiful Soul piece is so pretty, definitely satisfies my love for cute sun dresses!
