How To: Color Block

Color blocking can be complicated, but hopefully my post will make it simple for you.

If you’re pattern shy, and dont like too many busy prints, color blocking will be a nice way to spice up your wardrobe.

  1. Pair it with Denim!
This is the easiest way- wear a denim piece and pair it with the opposite piece being a bold color!

  2. Pair it with Black!
This is the second easiest way – pair a bright or bold color with black.. SIMPLE!

  3. Dark and Bright!
Get a deep color (like green) and pair it with a bright color! This piece was already made with the color blocking feature, however imagine deep green pants with a bright yellow bag?

  4. Keep it on the light side!
Here you’ll see two light colors – cream and yellow. HOWEVER, you’ll see one being a pastel color (the cream color) with a neon color (the yellow, or some may also consider it green).

  5. To make it even easier, look at this color wheel. Chose one color, and look to the opposite side of the circle = perfect color block by the laws of color!

I really hoped you enjoyed this! Send me pictures of how you color block 🙂
